We use Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, we collect your Google email address and your name as provided by Google. This information is used solely to verify your identity and prevent abuse of the platform.
Your email is used for authentication and account recovery. Your real name is NOT stored in our public database and is NEVER shown to other users. Your public presence on Bluedots is identified only by your chosen anonymous handle and institution.
We request access to your Google account information only to verify your student status. We do not access your contacts, drive, or any other private data.
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, please contact us at team_bluedots@googlegroups.com. Upon request, we will remove your email and all anonymous posts/messages associated with your account within 30 days.
We implement security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
